edshelf (not my grammatical error – it really is all lower case!) is a dedicated Web 2.0 resource site for teachers. The site is updated regularly and provides digital tools in a variety of categories. The tools are also divided based on price – free or paid. edshelf rates the tools based on learning curve (ease of use), pedagogical effectiveness and student engagement.
There are some collaborative elements but this is still an area for further growth. Users can invite colleagues to join and/or suggest specific tools. An enhanced community section would make this source even more powerful.
